Standard terms and conditions Refer a friend/Refer a colleague

A resident of Grainger plc ("Grainger"), who has referred a friend or colleague to live in a Grainger property, as well as the Referred Applicant are, subject to these terms and conditions, both eligible to receive a voucher to the value of the amount as chosen by the Promoter (Grainger);

Referrer – means the individual introducing a friend or individual who subsequently takes a tenancy.

Referred Applicant – means the person or friend who is introduced by the Referrer who goes on to take a tenancy.

The promoter is Grainger plc. (Company registration number 125575) whose registered office is at Citygate, St James Boulevard, Newcastle upon Tyne.

Entry is open to current residents of Grainger. Evidence of eligibility may be required.

The scheme is not open to residents in rent or parking arrears or those who have had a Notice served on them for any breach of the tenancy agreement.

Referrals must be made as an 'email introduction' to the Residents Services Manager or Property Manager copying in the referred applicant.

No responsibility can be accepted where a referred applicant does not respond or does not wish to view a property, make an offer, fails to meet the applicant criteria, does not pass referencing or for any other reason fails to enter into a tenancy with Grainger.

Both the Referrer and the Referred Applicant are eligible to receive a voucher for the amount per household for the referral of a friend/s to Grainger. who;

1. Meets Grainger’s applicant criteria (this will be supplied on request)
2. Successfully passes referencing
3. Signs a minimum of a 12-month tenancy agreement
4. Pays all required move in monies before the start date of tenancy

The vouchers are, as stated, not transferable to another individual and no cash or other alternatives will be offered.

Grainger. reserves the right to amend or alter the terms and conditions at any time and reject referrals for applicants who do not meet the Grainger Applicant criteria.

The Referred Applicant must not have had any type of tenancy with Grainger or a subsidiary previously.

There is no limit to the amount of referrals that can be made subject to the terms and conditions.

In the event of a voucher being unavailable, the promoter reserves the right to offer an alternative voucher of equal value.

Vouchers will be issued to the Referrer and the Referred Applicant within 28 days of the Referred Applicant entering into a tenancy and having moved into the property, paid all initial monies and/or fees, rent or deposit.

Vouchers will be issued via email or hand delivery to post box or in person at the discretion of the promoter.

In the event of a discrepancy between these standard terms and conditions and the details of any Grainger promotional material (or any other terms and conditions provided/referred to at the time of entry), the details of these standard terms and conditions shall prevail.

The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the scheme will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

The scheme and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.

Entry into the Refer a Friend scheme will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.

The referral fee will be payable in the form of vouchers of Grainger’s choice. No cash amount will be paid.

The decision to issue vouchers is at the absolute discretion of Grainger and no correspondence will be entered into.
