CHARM
The CHARM portfolio was acquired by Grainger in early 2007 for £135m. This is a portfolio of equity mortgages for retired clergy. These mortgages are repaid as a proportion of the sales proceeds rather than as the amount of the loan originally made. Additionally interest, which grows with RPI (Retail Price Index) is also received.
